BUTCHER COVER “PROFESSIONAL PEELING SERVICE”

Since 1977, I (Gary Hein) have been professionally peeling Butcher Covers with consistent excellent results.  Having peeled nearly ~2000 Butcher Covers to date, I am offering my Butcher Cover Peeling Services with a 100% Confidence Level  (Many references are available upon request).  There are only 2 individuals recognized worldwide for Professionally Peeling Butcher Covers, and I am one of them.   The total cost (with shipping) is $525 for a Straight Peel with NO Restoration Services Performed (touch-up of areas from previous failed peel attempts, seam split repair, etc.) which are extra if needed.  Typical turnaround time required to complete the peeling process is 8-10 weeks from the time I receive the LP Cover.  Most of the Butcher Covers that I have peeled for clients have been RESOLD for OVER $1,500 once completed!

Mid-1964 Issue.  These Beatles school binders come with 3 Rings and a 2.0 inch thick spine.  Featured is a large less detailed B&W.  Beatles photo & signatures on the front cover.  On the cover, Paul McCartney's cigarette has been “air-brushed out of his hand!”  Originally a company named Standard Plastic Products (SPP) began producing The Beatles binders in early 1964.  By mid-1964, Standard Plastic Products (SPP) was bought out by New York Looseleaf Corp., who continued to produce the binders at least through 1964.

These Beatles school binders come with either 2 or 3 Rings, and either a 2.0 or 1.25 inch thick spine.  Featured is a large highly detailed Sepia-Tone Beatles photo & signatures on the front cover.  On the cover, Paul McCartney's cigarette is intact, and NOT “air-brushed out” as in the later issue binder manufactured by New York Looseleaf Corp.  Also unlike the Mid-1964 issue binders, these “Early 1964 Binders” came in a variety of colors.

       NEW information is revealed in fine detail how BOTH United Artists & Capitol Records initially were responsible for the Care, Handling and Promotion of T

he Beatles during their First Visit to America.  Prior to these documents, itineraries, etc. being found, this information was “never known”!

                1)    3-Page United Artists Itinerary, dated January 23, 1964, outlining “The Care & Handling of The Beatles during their American Stay.

with times and dates given for scheduled activities in Miami. Details include how the Airport Interview will be handled, what photographers and cameramen

will be permitted, a mention that “limousine seating will be pre-arranged” - (can you believe this?).  Excellent reading for sure!  ONLY TWO KNOWN COPIES EXIST!

                4)    3 Ed Sullivan Show DRESS REHEARSAL Hotel Initiations from Mr. Lansburgh's neighboring Miami Beach Hotel Resorts.  Details include a list of Supporting Acts

                        to be on the show, times for seating, room location, time of Rehearsal, etc.  The Rehearsal Invitations are from The Saxony, The Sans Souci, and The Crown

                        Resort Hotels and are printed on exquisite and ornate Letterheads.  Only a FEW  of these letters have survived!
                5)    “Original Ed Sullivan Show Rehearsal Schedule Itinerary” - Printed in “onion-skin” paper, it’s a miracle that this precious 1-page document even

survived.  Exact Times and Dates for the Miami Ed Sullivan Rehearsals are outlined, beginning on Thursday, February 13, 1964 and concluding on

Sunday, February 16th.  ONLY 3 KNOWN COPIES EXIST  (One of them was recently sold in a collection selling for $70,000 oversees in early 2001!!!)

                6)    Ed Sullivan Show “LIVE BROADCAST SHOW” Invitation from Mr. Lansburgh's most famous Hotel Resort....the DEAUVILLE HOTEL - the “exact”

location here The Beatles Rehearsed & Performed LIVE on “The Ed Sullivan Show” in Miami!  This is a “fab-ulous” & most historical document!  ONLY 2 KNOWN TO EXIST!!!

                7)    "UNUSED" ED SULLIVAN SHOW BEATLES CONCERT TICKET- DRESS REHEARSAL, Miami, FL  February 16, 1964 - Only 3 are Known to Exist!!!

                8)    United Artists Press Release: “Beatles Sing Goodbye to US; Prepare for Their First UA Film”.  This is one of the EARLIEST UA Documents to announce

that The Beatles are planning to make a film.  Absolutely Incredible and THE ONLY KNOWN COPY!

BWXJ71  1965 & 1966 “Beatles at Shea Stadium” Archive - Only 2 PRESS PASSES issued personally by Show Promoter Sid Bernstein for this special event are

known to exist (Only ten TOTAL were ever given out!)  A letter signed by Sid Bernstein himself attesting to the authenticity of this PRESS PASS is included on a color

copy of the actual paper Press Pass.  This incredibly Rare PRESS PAPER PASS measures approximately 5” x 8.5”.  It was originally issued to a photographer named

Jim DeZego who was a columnist for the Brooklyn Times.

    At The Beatles concert at Shea Stadium, ONLY a dozen or so people were actually allowed onto the field to film & photo The Beatles.  Amazingly, Mr. DeZego can

be seen in The Beatles film “The Beatles Live At Shea” and in “The Beatles Anthology” during the song “I'm Down”.  Jim is seen standing down below to John Lennon's

left side as Lennon wails on the electronic organ at the end of the show.  A video tape of the show plus a slow motion view where Mr. DeZego can be seen is included

(at no extra cost).  In short, archive's main pieces are BOTH 1965 & 1966 Press Passes to The Beatles Shea Stadium Concerts.  The remaining items truly accent the

USED!!!   Complete with UNUSED Thermos!!!   Back in the late 1980’s, I personally found a “case” of 18 Unused Yellow Submarine Lunch Boxes in the

basement of an old “Mom & Pop” type convenience store that was going out of business.   Some of the lunch boxes had some light rust from being

stored on the damp basement floor.   Others in the group had some scratches to the face of the lunch box, with some “cracking” in the paint.  Luckily,

there was ONLY ONE virtually “perfect” Lunch Box in the group, which I kept for many years…..this is it!!!    You’ll NEVER find a better condition example

MEGAPHONES

                         One of the most unusual Beatles memorabilia items to emerge out of the 1960's is The Beatles 1965 Concert Megaphone (or Bugle), Mfd. by Yell-O-Phone. 

                     Authentic original megaphones are identified by the “embossed” “Yell-O-Phone” logo located inside the bugle.  Real megaphones in near mint condition are rare

                     to find, as most of them are either cracked, fractured, missing the neck-chain or missing the metal mouth piece.

                    Prior to our small find, there were ONLY A DOZEN or so Megaphones known to exist!  The Megaphones were sold only at The Beatles 1965 Concerts held

                at baseball stadiums.  According to one first-generation Beatles Fan, “...after the concert, it was amazing to see so many of these Megaphones in pieces on the

                ground after being “crushed” by the crowd.”  While wearing the megaphone around one's neck, all it took was a gentle push on the megaphone in order to crack it. 

                For this reason alone, they are Extremely Rare!

                    Only three variations of original Beatles Megaphones in bright colors have been confirmed to exist: Yellow w/Green print, White w/Red print and Orange w/Black print. 

                They were manufactured with a chrome metal mouth piece and metal neck-chain.  They feature large photos of each Beatle and have “Beatles Bugle” printed across the

                entire top.  They are a statuesque 7.5” tall with a 2” diameter mouth and 5” diameter base.

                    All megaphones offered here are Guaranteed Authentic and come with a Letter Of Authenticity.  The Megaphones are "EXCELLENT" 3-Dimensional Showcase Items

                    Mfd. by Air Flite in 1964,  Two sizes were made:  One for holding 45's (8.5” x 8” x 5”);  One for holding LP's (12.5” x 12.5” x 4.75”) cardboard box

                    designed to hold LP's.  The front of each case features a photo of The Beatles.  The box was produced with an off-White lid and either a Red or Green base.

                    grill has light wear to the original silver color.  Light tarnish on some metal parts.  Light wear to photos.  Surprisingly, some turntable foam is still present!
